What Can I Expect?
When we come to do tree removal for you, here are some of the steps you can expect from us. We will first:
1) Prepare the surrounding area. This involves removing any tables, furniture, bikes, in the area of the tree. We will measure the height of the tree to ensure that it has room to fall.
2) Evaluate the angle of the tree. If a tree is already leaning at a certain angle, we may want to cut the tree in a way where it falls along that angle.
3) Measure the height and thickness of the tree. Different size trees require different size tools to remove them in the most proper way. We might use any number of tools, from handsaws, rope saws or chainsaws…. The diameter of the trunk will have a great determination on how we proceed.
4) Safely remove the tree. Safety is our first concern here, so we will take extra precautions in order to make sure that the tree comes down in a controlled and safe manner. If the tree is tall, we will most likely use ropes to climb into the tree to cut off the higher branches, reducing the height a bit before chopping the tree down from the bottom. We will do a V-cut on the side the tree is going to fall, and the do another cut on the opposite side – usually a few inches above - to help release the pressure on the trunk.
5) Clean up. Once the tree has been successful cut down, we will cut it up into smaller pieces and haul it away, cleaning up all loose branches and debris, leaving you with a clean property.
6) Remove the stump. Although this is an optional service, it is highly recommended. Removing the stump helps to prevent future issues with pests like carpenter ants, wasps, and termites. If you’d like to find out more about the hows and whys of removing a stump, you can find out about that here.

Can't I Just Do It Myself?

How Do I Know if I Need A Tree Needs Removal?
There are several signs a tree may show that could indicate that it may need to be cut down.
1) Sudden Leaning. If one of your trees just started leaning all of a sudden, it is almost certain that there is a problem somewhere in the roots.
2) Bark that is cracking or breaking off. If the bark on your tree is cracking or breaking off, that may indicate a deeper issue.
3) Dead limbs. If you are seeing an excessive amount of dead limbs, this is another sign of a problem. It is possible that this can be resolved by simple trimming or pruning methods; but if the problem cannot be solved, then it would be better to use a tree removal company to safely remove it for you.
4) Damage around the exposed roots. Sometimes cutting equipment like a lawnmower or a weed-eater can damage the roots. In some cases, this can cause the tree to go into "stress" and begin struggling. Again, this can sometimes be resolved through various techniques, but other times it cannot. Every case is unique.
